Wooden Boat Festival 2008

The docks at Madeira Park government wharf will be full with over 800 feet of wooden boats...like the 32' Kloshie Bay, 44' Woodwind, 54' Welcome Spirit, 45' Passat IV, 65' Tofino ex-RCMP vessel, boats from the Westcoast Work Boat Association and the 114' Pacific Yellowfin, just to name a few!
There will also be the handliner boats presented by Larry Westlake, the Gibsons Maritime Museum, the Pender Harbour and Egmont Heritage Society and hard hat diving exhibitions from McKenzie Marine Services.
Don't forget, this is a Coast Guard Auxiliary sponsored event and the fast response vessels for Halfmoon Bay, Unit 12 (MV Ken Moore) and Pender Harbour, Unit 61 (Iona C) will be at the festival all weekend for public viewing.
