Members of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific, Unit 12, Halfmoon Bay were paged out at 1:22 PM, Friday, June 19, 2009. The 'Ken Moore' was underway with a crew of three in 23 minutes. Their objective was to assist a 42 foot cruiser with two people on board, that was taking on water approximately two nautical miles southeast of the White Islets off Wilson Creek/Davis Bay.

The 'Ken Moore' arrived on scene near the Roberts Creek wharf in 30 minutes. The Canadian Coast Guard hovercraft 'Siyay'and a zodiac from the Kitsilano Coast Guard base were on the scene and assisting the vessel by pumping out the engine compartment. The French Creek zodiac arrived shortly after Unit 12. The vessel was repaired and continued on it's own power.

Unit 12 was stood down and returned to base with just over two hours tasking time.
