Another Tasking for Unit 12
Early morning outing for duty crew
On Tuesday, March 2, at 10:40 PM the pagers rang out again. It was close to, or after, bedtime for members of the duty crew of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific Unit 12 Halfmoon Bay. On arriving at the station in Secret Cove members learned that they were to assist the Coroner's Service in recovering the remains of a person from a beach-front cottage. The Ken Moore left its base under an overcast sky with a bright moon showing through and was able to make good time as the ocean was smooth and debris was easily seen and avoided. After the job was completed the Ken Moore returned to base around 2:00 AM, hitting only one small stick, and returned to normal operation.
