On Friday March 30th 2007 at 1220hrs the local water taxi 'Grackle' reported finding half of canoe adrift near Tattenham Ledge off Thormanby Is. Our local Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific Unit 12 Halfmoon Bay (CCGA12) was quickly tasked by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) to search for any signs of a possible person in the water....

A Multi Agency Search on the water was conducted for a missing jet-skier early Monday morning, August 6th, 2007 in the Sechelt Inlet. CCGA12, CAF Cormorant helicopter, CCG Cape Caution, CCG Westview 1 and private vessels took part in an extended search for the jet ski's sole occupant. Eventually the search was handed over to RCMP....

With the possibility of persons in the water, this emergency code 3 call involved the volunteer CCGA12 as well as the Coast Guard Hovercraft Siyay, RCMP vessel and other vessels of opportunity....
