CCGA12s quick response resulted in a vessels recovery at 1600 hrs. This vessel was reported adrift adrift from a concerned citizen. Despite the high winds and nightfall approaching, the vessel in question was safely brought to Tillicum Bay in Sechelt, BC, the closest safe harbour....

On Friday March 30th 2007 at 1220hrs the local water taxi 'Grackle' reported finding half of canoe adrift near Tattenham Ledge off Thormanby Is. Our local Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific Unit 12 Halfmoon Bay (CCGA12) was quickly tasked by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) to search for any signs of a possible person in the water....

A Multi Agency Search on the water was conducted for a missing jet-skier early Monday morning, August 6th, 2007 in the Sechelt Inlet. CCGA12, CAF Cormorant helicopter, CCG Cape Caution, CCG Westview 1 and private vessels took part in an extended search for the jet ski's sole occupant. Eventually the search was handed over to RCMP....

April 23, 2010 At 7:00PM the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific, Unit 12, Halfmoon Bay was called out to assist a gentleman who had slipped and fallen, suffering a serious head wound, on the rocks in the intertidal zone near Shelter Island on the north end of South Thormanby Island.
